First, let me say Thank You for visiting my site! I appreciate you taking the time to view my images and learn a bit about the person behind the lens.
I have been fascinated by photography for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would sit for hours on end gazing through old family photo albums. I still catch myself zoning out on trips back to my parents house, as I examine the photos adorning their walls. I often find myself transported to the scenes within those images. Photography has the unique ability to capture a moment, a mood, or an idea and place it on display forever. Perhaps more palpably than other visual mediums, photography is a mixture of emotion and memory. Photos create instant nostalgia for a moment gone but not forgotten.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Watkins College of Art and Design in 2005. My major was Interior Design, but my passion for Photography led me to take elective photography classes outside of my field of study. At Watkins, I got a taste of photography. In the years since, I have focused on honing this craft. Photography continues to enthrall me, and I will forever remain an eager student. Most recently, I just completed a nine week course on Adobe Photoshop. The more I learn, the more I love what I do.
I am up for any challenge. I have spent the last few years photographing everything from weddings and events, to buildings and interiors. But my true passion lies in portrait photography. My most highly prized images from my portfolio are those natural light portraits of tiny people, pregnant women, loving couples, and beautiful families. My idea of a perfect day would be to wake up early, enjoy breakfast in bed and cartoons with my husband and toddler, and then head out for a day of shooting under the sun.
I endeavor to capture my subjects in a light that is true to their personality. I wish to give my clients a form of time capsule to reminisce upon and cherish all their days.
Book a shoot with me and let’s create some memories!
